When “spirituality” or “self-awareness” is pursued deeply enough, it culminates in "Self-realisation".
When this occurs, the sense of “self” drops, and what remains becomes undeniably clear. The “aha” moment when this recognition occurs, is what is term realisation.
In other words, "Self-realisation is the direct recognition of what remains when all our false identities are seen through. It refers to seeing beyond the stories and identities that we previously took oneself to be.
While different traditions attempt to describe what remains in various ways, no description or definition can fully capture it. In fact, conceptualizing what remains may itself become misleading and hence words become replaced by silence as one inquires deeply. For conversation purposes, we can use the word "reality"to indicate the deeper nature of self and experience.

Note: While the term ‘self-awareness’ is used here for reference to what readers are already familiar with, Sandeep prefers to use the term “self-attention” instead of “self-awareness” as awareness itself is not personal or directional.
