Through the turns of life, some are drawn to look beneath the surface of life itself. What begins outward as religions, teachings, traditions, and philosophies —slowly gives way to a quieter movement within and revealing a subtle common essence beneath these various paths.

While many come to rest in the accepted truths or calmness in the mind, a few remain unsettled, drawn even deeper to see the truths for themselves. This calls for setting aside what one knows, and stepping into the unknown.

As the known loosens its hold, and the unknown stands open — something profound is glimpsed, which is subtle, ungraspable, and beyond the reach of words.
